GROWING IN HIM CHRISTIAN COUNSELING CENTER

ABOUT US

Mask group

We are a Non-Profit Organization with the goal of supporting our community in healing through the love of Christ. We have licensed clinicians who are trained in research based therapy and are dedicated to serving our Lord. We use a relational approach to guiding our clients into a closer relationship with God and deeper healing of a multitude of issues.

God is the center of what we do here at Growing in Him Christian Counseling.

Statement of Faith

As Christian therapists, our clinical work is informed by a biblical worldview and the belief that every person is created with inherent dignity, worth, and purpose by a loving God. Our faith in Jesus Christ shapes our understanding of human nature, healing, relationships, and the integration of mind, body, and spirit.

I affirm the following core beliefs:

  1. God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  2. Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers salvation and new life to all who believe in Him.  (John 1:1-2, Luke 1:35, 1 Peter 2:24, Ephesians 1:7)

  3. Scripture: We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, providing wisdom, guidance, and truth for life and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16)

  4. Humanity: We believe that all people are created in the image of God and are therefore worthy of love, respect, and compassionate care. (Genesis 1:27)

  5. Sanctity of Life: We believe that human life is sacred from conception to natural death and that each person reflects the image of God. (Genesis 1:26)

  6. Creation of Male and Female: We believe that God created humanity in His image as male and female, and that these two distinct, complementary sexes reflect the image of God. Gender is a fixed, God-ordained characteristic and not subject to change or personal identification. (Genesis 1:27)

  7. Sanctity of Marriage: We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God, designed to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman as defined in core belief #6 above. (Genesis 2:20, Matthew 19: 4-6, 1 Timothy 1:10, 1 Corinthians 6:9)

  8. Redemption and Healing: We believe that true healing and restoration ultimately come through a relationship with God, repentance and salvation and that emotional, psychological, relational, and spiritual growth are interconnected. (Psalm 103:2-3, Matthew 14:14, Psalm 34:18, Daniel 4:34)

As licensed therapists, we are committed to ethical, respectful, and evidence-based care for all clients. We honor the beliefs, values, and autonomy of each person we work with.  We do not impose our faith, but when welcomed or requested, we are able to integrate Christian perspectives and spiritual practices into the therapeutic process.
